Rediscovering the stories of women whom history set aside as decorative, frivolous, and entirely one-dimensional. Turning the chandeliers upon the neglected, the misrepresented, and thoroughly misunderstood powerhouses of the Gilded Age, Late Victorian, and Edwardian eras.

The women I study didn't simply make history, they performed it. In the grandest rooms, in the most exquisite gowns, with considerably more power than anyone thought to credit them with.

I stand at the intersection where elegance meets evidence.

I am a historian, author, and PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, and I have spent my career in devoted pursuit of women history misfiled as frivolous and decorative. Through scholarship, writing, and the occasional ballgown, I bring them back into the limelight, the warm golden glow of the brightest chandeliers. Sparkling, as ever, through history.
